The accusation of interference in the Israeli election is a ridiculous and dangerous act, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman
Qatar has rejected the accusations of interference in the Israeli elections and influencing voters, saying that a campaign is being launched to drag it into Israel’s internal political conflicts.
According to the Israeli newspaper The Times of Israel, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al-Ansari said that some Israeli politicians are accusing Qatar of buying Prime Minister Netanyahu, left-wing parties and now Arab voters.
He described these accusations as ridiculous and dangerous, saying that some Israeli politicians and the media affiliated with them are trying to drag Qatar into their political conflicts.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al-Ansari sarcastically said that if these claims are accepted as true, then it is as if all of Israel has become Qatar’s property.
He said that Qatar plays no role in Israel's political or electoral competition, nor has it financed any activity to influence its results.
On the other hand, the acting director general of the Israeli Central Election Committee, Dan Levin, has called the allegations of widespread electoral fraud baseless, saying that to his knowledge there is no evidence of systematic irregularities and that the voting was in accordance with the law.
It should be noted that some Israeli politicians accused Arab political parties of receiving financial support from Qatar in the elections held two days ago, because this time the Arab parties have achieved a record victory.
